THE JURY'S MOTIVATION

The jury justifies the choice of Lene Skole, CEO of the Lundbeck Foundation, with the following words, which have been obtained from the chairmen of the boards of which she is a member:

• Lene Skole is both analytical and articulate in her board work.
• She is always incredibly well prepared and proactive.
• She has the courage to say what she thinks and also points out the sore points ‐ in a constructive way.
• In other words, she has a 'no nonsense' personality that is both likeable and respected. Not least, as she is also a strong coach and a good communicator. Lene Skole has a broad professional profile that matches the global world we are a part of.

Lene School has an exciting career path, which on the board front has certainly not yet reached its peak. With her experience from CFO roles in the A.P. Moller Maersk Group, and subsequently as a central part of the Executive Board of Coloplast, she, in combination with her current role as CEO of the Lundbeck Foundation, her undisputed skill – and not least – her winning nature, is extremely well equipped to hold board positions at the highest level.

Based on her financial background and with extensive experience in HR, strategy, IT and general management, she has continuously expanded her areas of responsibility and has insight into all the aspects you have to deal with as chairman of the board. At the same time, the jury assesses that she has the tools needed to be able to succeed in many different professional contexts – both in terms of company types, company forms, industries and cultures.

The jury for the Women's Board Award wants to give Lene Skole its warmest recommendations as the chairman of the board of the future.
