The winner of the Women's Board Award 2019 has been very successful in implementing extensive strategic and organizational change processes in one of the world's largest tech companies.
The secret behind this is her ability to "to balance widely different considerations and agendas and make them meet".

This year's winner has worked internationally throughout his career. She has shown the ability to both draw the strategic direction and ensure that things become reality – not by simply issuing orders, but through involvement, commitment and strong arguments. She represents a modern form of leadership that is increasingly in demand and is crucial for driving transformation in complex international matrix organizations. In addition, she is able to set up the right teams and motivate them to deliver top results.

Through his board positions in PFA and the Dutch construction giant Royal BAM Group, this year's winner has distinguished himself as a board member who is able to challenge management both directly and constructively. She is analytically sharp, understands complex relationships and contributes to all the essential elements of board work.

Prior to her current role, she was responsible for setting up the first IBM headquarters in history outside of the United States, having established as Global COO IBM's Watson Internet of Things division in Munich.
