THE JURY'S MOTIVATION 2022

Marianne Wiinholt has been active on the board front for more than a decade – across the Nordic region, with a number of positions in absolutely significant companies in various industries.

At the same time as his board work, this year's award recipient has also managed to handle a very heavy and responsible executive job in a company that has undergone very major transformations, high growth and new ownership over a number of years. A company that today is one of the country's largest and in the spirit of the times, also among the most sustainable and green – and all tasks that Marianne Wiinholt has solved for UG with all help – without it in any way affecting her commitment or efforts in the work of the board. Or vice versa, of course!

Thus, both former and current board colleagues say about Marianne Wiinholt that they have met in her an unusually thorough preparation, an always active participation in meetings, a great focus on "the ball" – regardless of the fact that the ball moves with time, great "fighter spirit", a pronounced degree of orderliness, always with well-balanced considerations between the short and the long term, an eternally pleasant and accommodating personal style with strong contributions to the good atmosphere in the boardrooms, and finally – but not least – with very strong contributions in her core area of expertise, which includes economics, finance and risk management.

On the education front, Marianne Wiinholt has not been idle either, and has thus continued to keep herself updated – even after her original master's degree – with courses at IMD and Wharton, among others. She has also contributed to the development of good board work, partly as a teacher at CBS' board education and partly as a board member of the Board Association.

No one in the jury has thus been in doubt that it is one of the country's most diligent work capacities that today receives the honor Women's Board Award 2022 - a big congratulations!
