On Friday, January 26, 2024, 51-year-old Britt Meelby Jensen received the prestigious Board Award, the Women's Board Award. The award was presented by Minister for Digitalisation and Gender Equality Marie Bjerre and jury leader Lars Rasmussen at Deloitte in Copenhagen in the company of 150 invited guests.
Britt Meelby Jensen has a long career in the life science sector behind her, with top management positions at Novo Nordisk, Dako, Zealand Pharma and Atos Medical on his CV. Today, she is the CEO of the global manufacturer of medical equipment for hospitals and rescue services, Ambu A/S – a position she took up 2022 after having been part of the company's board of directors.
Britt also has solid board experience and sits on Novo Holdings, Hempel Foundation and Hempel Invests boards. In addition, she works actively with diversity and diversity, which is why she is particularly proud to Have received the Women's Board Award:

Jury chairman Lars Rasmussen, chairman of the board of e.g. Lundbeck and Coloplast and head of the think tank Equalis, justifies the choice as follows:
"With many years of experience as CEO and board member of several large companies, Britt is a highly qualified candidate for a position as head of the board of directors of a large company. That she also has a deep business understanding, solid and well-documented leadership skills and results – as well as a clear attitude to what a board should deliver – This means that we in the jury had no doubt at all that Britt deserves to be honored with the Women's Board Award 2024. She is a role model who can and will lead the way."
The jury also emphasizes Britt's geopolitical and macroeconomic insight and understanding, as well as her focus on ESG. As a board member, Britt is particularly recognized for 'contributing competently, professionally and well-prepared, while at the same time she likes to challenge and show edge when necessary.
